Congratulations to our 3 new Conservative Councillors who all picked up their seats and made Conservative gains in Gornal, Sedgley and Upper Gornal & Woodsetton.
Gornal - Local man Bryn Challenor defeated incumbent Rodger Scott-Dow of UKIP and fended off a challenge from Labour to Gain back the 3rd Gornal ward seat meaning that all 3 Councillors in Gornal are back in Conservative hands.
Sedgley - Shaun Keasey was facing possibly one of the most high profile UKIP Councillors, in Bill Etheridge, but this was no issue as Bill was put into a distant 3rd place and Shaun secured a comfortable majority to retake Sedgley and again this makes all 3 Councillors in the ward, Conservative.
Upper Gornal & Woodsetton - Chris Neale perhaps had the most uphill job having to come from so far behind going on the 2016 result but his hard work, determination and popularity with the people in Upper Gornal & Woodsetton saw them back him and elect him as their Conservative Councillor with a slim but hard earned majority.
Gaining these crucial seats see the Conservatives keeping control of Dudley Council meaning that we will see the continued improvements that have been going on since the Conservatives gained control of the council from Labour last year.
